Skill Set :

  1. Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS and CSS preprocessors, JavaScript, Angular 10+ and MV* frameworks.
  2. Good understanding of API design and usage.
  3. Sound knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies.
  4. strong Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
  5. Good Knowledge of Web accessibility principles and techniques
  6. Familiar with Agile development methodologies and software development life-cycle.
  7. Basic understanding of most commonly used frontend and backend coding languages, including: (Angular+ any server based programming language).
  8. Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  9. Demonstrated academic achievement
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Enthusiastic and has a growth mindset, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities, adaptable, a critical thinker, organized and collaborative.

Job Description : 

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building a scalable learning platform using modern development, deployment, and monitoring technologies such as Node JS, Angular 10+, Docker, AWS, Log Entries, AppDynamics etc . We have full-stack teams, where designers, product managers, and engineers work closely to build products that delight our customers.

  1. Work on fast-paced, agile engineering teams.
  2. Design, prototype and build user interfaces & frameworks with a platform mindset.
  3. Use and extend the Kaplan Test Prep design language and front-end component catalogue called Design System
  4. Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, UX and Design team and project managers.
  5. Maintain high test coverage across unit, functional and integration test suites.
  6. Conduct regular system deployments using our AWS-native continuous delivery pipeline.
  7. Improve documentation of processes and systems
  8. Troubleshoot existing systems and applications.
  9. Keep yourself up to date on latest web technologies and help drive innovation at Kaplan Test Prep
  10. Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office
  11. 30-days notification period preferred
