NetApp looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join Core Software team building the fundamental software to manage the ONTAP software product.

Job Designation : Software Engineer 

Qualification : Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree

Experience : Freshers / 0 – 3 years

Skill Set :

  1. Software development expertise (analysis, design, implementation, testing).
  2. Proficiency in C, C++, Java and Python.
  3. Familiarity with Unix based operating system kernels and development environments, e.g. Linux or FreeBSD
  4. A strong understanding of basic to complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
  5. Experience with REST API, Cloud, and Virtualization environments is a plus.
  6. Experience with AngularJS, ReactJS, full stack development experience is a plus.
  7. Familiarity with data storage virtualization, knowledge on hypervisors such as VMware ESX, Linux KVM is preferred.
  8. Demonstrated creative and systematic approach to problem solving.
  9. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Ability to work under limited supervision and direction.
  11. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards.

As a seasoned software engineer, you will work as part of a team of skilled and passionate engineers responsible for participating in the design, development, debugging, maintenance & testing. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, and driven to produce results.

You will work as part of a team responsible for the development, testing and debugging of distributed software that drives NetApp cloud, hybrid-cloud and on-premise solutions.

  1. Work with a lead to deliver medium to large features, including participating in the full software development lifecycle.
  2. Deliver reliable, innovative storage and data management products.
  3. Design, implement and test software in Python with a focus on simplicity, reliability, and manageability.
  4. Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems, including authoring project specifications.
  5. Write unit and automated integration tests.
